Sharp is a Rochester native who studied clarinet in the Hochstein School of Music. Sharp also played piano as well as cello. Sharp's love for theater in high school brought her to Boston Conservatory, where she received the scholarship. Following her graduation from Cum Laude with a B.F.A. Sharp began her career on stage after graduating at the Conservatory. She performed in her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel and debuted off-Broadway in Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind and played eight different roles in the interactive comedy Eat the Runt. Other stage productions include: Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp was a co-reader with the playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp is a performer who has performed on screen as well as on stage is involved in a variety of unique projects. Sharp continues to sing and has a full-length album currently in the process of being recorded. Sharp enjoys exercise. She is active by training in boxing, learning Krav Maga, and taking long road trips. Sharp lives with her family in Los Angeles with family.
