She was a sports reporter for some of the biggest media outlets across the country. The journalist spent more than a decade reporting on the sport for The Washington Post, including tennis, football, and basketball. In 2004, Nichols transferred to ESPN for a nine-year run during which she was awarded 2 Emmy Awards and appeared on many of the network's most watched programs, like SportsCenter as well as NFL Countdown.
